Michael Wates

Founder | Managing Director

Mike’s career spans over 21 years working in the IT industry, during which time he has acquired numerous industry certifications and proficiencies.

Having held key roles working with multinational corporations within the banking and finance industry, Mike leverages from a wealth of commercial management experience and acumen to deliver advisory services and solutions to Managed IT customers.

His passions are his vision for Managed IT to deliver simplified best practice enterprise IT methodology to mid-tier and SMB organisations and to additionally give back to the community. To date Managed IT has led the way in the creation and delivery of authentic managed services in Western Australia.

A committed family man, Mike values time with his three boys and enjoys playing the drums.

Craig Wall

Operations Manager

Technology has been Craig’s passion since he was very young, playing with his Commodore 64. What started young has never faded and as such he has had a number of roles within the Information Technology industry since 1996.

His experiences include assembly and repair of PC’s, retail sales, Network/Server administration, Support/Helpdesk Managing, Service Delivery Manager and Operations Manager in both the public and private sectors, along with running his own consulting business for a number of years. He loves project scoping and seeing a project successfully come to a closure, as well as ensuring there is a constant cycle of improvement in the delivery at Managed IT.

Outside of work, Craig enjoys spending time with his two children, basketball (big Perth Wildcats fan), motorsport (Holden), IT and Technology.

Ryan South

Technical Manager

Ryan has a passion for the improvement of client maturity through the use of technology. He has held key roles throughout his career in our industry that allows him to adopt and adapt to our consistently evolving technology landscape.

With 15+ years of experience, Ryan has developed his skills in the areas of Managed Services, Professional Services, Project Management, Service Management, and Technical Management. Ryan continues to drive Managed IT and its clients forward on a day-to-day basis ensuring all parties are recognised and taken care of.

Ryan enjoys being in the outdoors, more specifically being in the most remote possible destination that his 4WD and family can get to. His two boys and better half, live, eat and breathe the lifestyle wholeheartedly.
